Flooding Hits Bhutan, Damage Reported in Multiple Districts
A severe flood struck Bhutan overnight, causing widespread damage in the Gasa and Punakha districts. The flood, which is believed to be the result of a glacial lake outburst, swept through the Tsachu area in Gasa district, carrying debris and causing significant destruction. The swollen Mo Chhu River also damaged a solar irrigation system in Punakha district, further exacerbating the situation.
